This is the last chance to be considered for an oral or poster presentation at ACWA 2008.
If you would like to submit an abstract to be considered as part of the program please click here.
The theme for the 2008 conference program is responding to children, young people and families in a civil society.
Abstracts will be accepted under the following themes:
Social disadvantage
Responding to social disadvantage and social exclusion and their impacts on children, youth and families
Safety and wellbeing
Enhancing safety and wellbeing for children, youth and families with high needs
Building community capacity
Building community capacity and organisational infrastructure for humane service programming and delivery
Out of home care
Responding to the needs of children/youth in out of home care and transitioning to adulthood.
Each topic includes the overarching concepts of participation and inclusion: Participation of children, young people and families in all levels of action and decision making affecting them and inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and families, those with disabilities and/or from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
